Dyson has come out with a vacuum that uses a washable HEPA filter. HEPA meaning High Efficiency Particluate Air, the filter traps microscopic allergens. Dyson solves the problem of having to replace filters by making the HEPA filter washable. Effective HEPA filtration often requires that filters are cleaned regularly. This filter is guaranteed for the lifetime of the vacuum.

This vacuum does not rely on bags to catch the dust and dirt. Instead of there being a bag there is a clear bin in the bags place. The clear bin makes for easy viewing so you know when it is time to empty it. To discard the contents just detach the bin, and push a button so the dirt can empty out the bottom. Not having contact with the contents in the bin is a nice feature. Better than having bags you have to remove by hand in other vacuums.
